The Georgia Society of Public Health Educators is a professional organization for health educators and others in public or community health. GASOPHE shares many of Georgia Shape’s priorities, including promoting physical activity as a foundational healthy habit. 

 

Fuel Up to Play 60

 

 

Fuel Up to Play 60 was launched by the National Dairy Council, the National Football League and the U.S. Department of Agriculture to empower youth to improve nutrition and physical activity at their schools and in their communities.

Alliance for a Healthier Generation

 

 In Georgia, the Alliance for a Healthier Generation is making it easier for kids to develop healthy habits. More than 1,100 schools serving over 905,000 students across the state have joined the Alliance’s Healthy Schools Program, creating healthier school environments for children to thrive. 

 

Action for Healthy Kids

Action for Healthy Kids, a national organization partnering with more than 75 organizations, corporations and government agencies, supports schools that take action toward healthier eating and physical activity. 

 

Children's Healthcare of Atlanta

In response to the nearly 1 million children in Georgia at an unhealthy weight, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta made a commitment in 2011 to help tackle the issue with a movement called Strong4Life.
